EMERGENCY RELIEF RESPONSE: CEBU, PHILIPPINES

Humanitarian Care Malaysia @ MyCARE in collaboration with ACT Malaysia and with the help of Cebu local NGOs lend a helping hand to the victims of Typhoon Tino that recently hit Cebu City, Philippines. Tino devastated many parts of Visayas with Cebu City being worst hit. It left over 230 dead, 112 still missing, over 1 million families affected, and damages up to RM25 million (https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1262999).

Through Toledo City Balik-Islam Association (Cebu, Philippines) and Salaam Police Advocacy Groups, food packs as well as meal packs were distributed to 300 families affected. These families were identified by our partners on the ground. Many of them have been displaced due to damage to their homes caused by flash floods.
